As my main travel equipment, I always travel with a small battery charger. This is perfect for charging your dead phone while on the move.
The Anker Astro E1 is a small, lightweight device that fits in my palm. It will charge my phone from zero to 100 a few time.
We are a four-person family, so we need a charger with at least 20,000 mAh.
We have had a previous generation Anker Powercore device for about six to seven years. We use it every time we travel and also at home. We just bought the Anker PowerCore 2100 and are excited to see if the new version is as good as the old one.
WIFI HOTSPOT
Travelers are faced with the reality of bad WiFi in hotels and cafes.
We’ve had to deal with slow WiFi or WiFi that cuts out constantly for too long. So we bought a WiFi hotspot which travels everywhere. This is one of our favourite small gifts to take abroad.
We use the Skyroam Solis wifi hotspot most of the time. This gives us unlimited access to WiFi anywhere in the world. We can bring WiFi to our home, our backyard, a vacation rental, or even to camp. This is also great for long road trips across the country.
