Unfiltered Unbound Merino Evaluation: Merino Wool’s Travel Perfection Unveiled

Unbound Merino, odor-resistant and quick to dry, is the perfect addition to any traveler’s wardrobe.

We’ve tried out all kinds of gear in our nearly 20 years of traveling together. From travel jackets to backpacks to pack cubes and the Scrubba portable washing bag, we have it covered.

We have never tried merino clothing. We’ve been told by our outdoor and backpacking friends that merino is one of best fabrics.

Merino is odor resistant, moisture-wicking and very versatile. The wool keeps you dry in colder temperatures and cools you down in warmer weather.

We decided to try merino. This article reviews the unbound Merino shirt, tee-shirt and polo.

What is special about merino wool?

Merino is made of the wool from Merino sheep in Australia and New Zealand. Merino is thinner and softer than normal wool. This makes it more comfortable to wear against the skin.

You don’t have to bring as many clothes because merino can be worn multiple times. You can save space by using packing cubes and smart clothing.

Merino Wool can be used multiple times before washing, unlike cotton and poly blends which quickly absorb sweat. This makes it an excellent choice for traveling. Save money on laundry trips and keep your luggage lighter. You can wear the same woolen clothing for a couple of weeks without washing it (though the clothes may get worn out before that).

Unbound Merino clothing came packaged in a black, luxurious package with white letters on the exterior. The hoodie was individually packaged in tissue paper with an inside leaflet.

Unbound Merino’s packaging is luxurious, which I expected from a brand of this caliber. They deserve 10/10 in terms of presentation.

Unbound Merinos Hoodie Review

Our family loves hoodies. We all have multiple hoodies. Some are for the outdoors, others for the couch and still more for traveling.

Unbound Merino Hoodie is made from superfine Merino Wool (21.5 Micron), making it softer and comfortable than cotton.

This merino hoodie features a matte YKK zip with a black oxidized finishing.

Fabric is made of 97% Merino Wool, and 3% Elastane for durability. Fabric weight 250 GSM gives a lighter feel than a cotton hoodie. The hoodie has seamless pockets to keep it looking slim and sleek.

Are Merino Wool Shirts Worth It? Merino wool is durable and long lasting, but it comes at a price.

Merino wool is a good option for those who want a shirt they can use for several days before washing. Merino wool is perfect for those who travel light and want their luggage to be as small as possible. It’s also great for backpackers and hikers, but it can work for anyone.

Is UNBOUND MERINO a good product?

Unbound Merino has been a great experience for us. Merino is a comfortable and cozy fabric.

It was easy to remove wrinkles. The wrinkles disappeared within 10 minutes after I misted lightly with the spray bottle.

Is Merinos only good for cold weather?

Merino wool is a great fabric for cold weather. It keeps your body warm, and wicks away sweat when you exercise.

Merino fibres also wick moisture away in warmer temperatures, so you will feel cool and comfortable, rather than damp.

How to care for your Merinos WOOL CLOTHES

It doesn’t require much extra work to take care of your wool clothing. Wash your merino wool clothes with regular detergent and warm water. Hang to dry your merino clothes, since they can shrink if you use a dryer.

It can take some time to dry a heavy merino jacket.
