When we plan a vacation, I always end up with an unorganized list of places and things that I would like to visit.
If I feel really ambitious, I will plan my trip using Google Maps. This means that I must do a separate address search and save the addresses as bookmarks.
It’s really a pain.
When the folks from Tripcipe contacted us and asked us if we would like to test out their new website and app for trip planning, I was intrigued (and frustrated enough) to give it a go.

What is TripCipe?
Tripcipe is a recipe that aims to make the perfect trip.
Tripcipe allows you to save all the information on any website in one place, instead of having to copy and paste it into other documents such as Google Maps or Excel.
Tripcipe is working hard to make the app work offline in case you don’t have a data plan on vacation! Tripcipe has been working to make the app work offline, in case you do not have a data plan while on vacation.
You can try Tripcipe for yourself by signing up using our personal invitation. There are only 500 invites available, so grab them as soon as you can.
Tripcipe is a great tool to help you plan your trip.
Here’s an exclusive sneak peak at our Tripcipe adventure.

How to use TRIPCIPE
Install the Tripcipe extension (plug-in) in Google Chrome after creating an account at Tripcipe.com.
It appears as a small icon in your toolbar and allows you to save things that are interesting from any website. The Tripcipe website has a simple wizard that will help you get started if you are not familiar with Google Chrome Extensions.

Click the Tripcipe icon on your Chrome toolbar to save anything you find online.

You can then add any notes to your Tripcipe clip.

The clip is added to your Trip map. You’ve added your clip to the Trip map.

What I like about TRIPCIPE
It’s Easy
Tripcipe is a great tool for me to add activities or places to eat in my itinerary.
THE MAP
Planning our route used to be a major hassle when we were planning a vacation.
After I had done all the research for our destination, I would have to create a Google Maps route.
Tripcipe makes this process so much easier by mapping my entire itinerary when I create a new trip.
The ability to check out other users’ clips and trips
You can find inspiration by browsing trips created by other members of the community. I like the idea of being on Tripcipe to see what someone else has planned. What a great way to plan a trip!
A ready-made itinerary is a good way to get started when planning your own trip. It would be a great help for a last-minute vacation or if you don’t have time to plan a trip, but still want to see all the sights.

You can take your trip anywhere you want
You can plan your trip anywhere with the Tripcipe App on your smartphone or tablet.
Tripcipe’s efforts to make your trips available offline are particularly appealing. This means you can still use the app if you have no data plan or don’t wish to pay high roaming charges on your phone.
The ability to SHARE a trip
Share your travel experience with others!
Share your trip with Tripcipe members and people who haven’t joined yet.
Click the share arrow next to your trip’s name to create a unique link that you can use to share your trip outside of Tripcipe.
LIMITATIONS OF TRIPCIPE
Tripcipe isn’t very popular at the moment. I expect that to change soon, now that it’s in beta and more people are realizing how useful it is.
As I created my Vancouver Island trip, I noticed that dozens of clips were being added to the board. I expect to have many trips to choose from in the near future.
I would love to see additional social sharing options. You can currently create a unique share link for your post. However, I would love to have the option to post to social media such as Facebook or Twitter. This is something I expect to happen in the near future.
Tripcipe has announced that it will be adding a new feature to help you organize your trip. This is a great option and I can’t wait for it to be available!
Try it for Yourself
You can try Tripcipe by signing up for the app or the website Tripcipe.com.
Tripcipe’s private beta is still ongoing, but we have been given 500 invitations to invite our readers. Click here to register (the link will only be active for the 500 first users).
Is there an app for that?
Tripcipe will soon be releasing a feature which allows you to use the Tripcipe mobile app offline, so you can carry all of your research on you even if you do not have a data package. Offline app access is expected to be available by February 2015.

The Tripcipe application is available on iTunes. Since the app is still in private beta at the moment, you will need to create an account by clicking this link to the Tripcipe.com site.
